Biography:
Jay Halpern is the founding member of Halpern Santos & Pinkert P.A. a trial practice dedicated to representing
individuals and families suffering serious injuries or wrongful death as a result of the negligence of others. The firm
concentrates on automotive and truck product defect cases and recently obtained a $37.8 million verdict in a truck
rollover case caused by a defective tire. The firm thrives on partnering with other law firms on significant cases.
Teamwork on these joint efforts has been a key to the firm’s success in obtaining verdicts and settlements in excess
of $100 million. Jay has been recognized as a long-standing Super Lawyers honoree, and is a member of the Miami
Dade Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Justice Association and the American Association of Justice. He enjoys
reading, writing, tennis, golf and gymnastics exercises and coached youth sports for 15 years when his children were
younger.
