Biography:
Alexander Alvarez is the owner of the Law Office of Alexander Alvarez. Mr. Alvarez graduated from Florida State University College of Law in 1992 and immediately commenced civil trial practice. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Alvarez was a staff counsel for Frontier Insurance Company primarily defending physicians from claims of medical malpractice. Thereafter, he was a partner with several practices before founding his own firm in 2011. The majority of his current practice focuses on the defense of construction defect, personal injury, automobile negligence, premises liability and wrongful death claims.
Mr. Alvarez has tried cases in medical and dental malpractice, wrongful death, negligent security, premises liability, property damage, and personal injury as counsel for both the defense and plaintiff. Along with being invited to join the Miami Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Mr. Alvarez has been recognized by his peers with an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 2001, named as a Florida Super Lawyer (2007-2009, and 2013-present), and was the recipient of the 2016 Miami Dade County Bar Association, Legal Elite Award – Solo Firm.
Mr. Alvarez has been certified as Circuit Court Mediator and as an Approved Provider and Instructor, Continuing Education for Adjusters, Florida Dept. of Financial Services having given over 15 educational presentations to insurance professionals licensed in Florida. Mr. Alvarez has also been a guest speaker before medical professionals most recently presenting "Documentation & Lawyers: Friend or Foe?" at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Emergency Room Symposium. Mr. Alvarez also volunteers annually as a judge for the Miami-Dade County High School Mock Competition, and often is invited to speak at Career Day at local high schools.
